I forgot my batteries! And Bobby saved the day, or more specifically, saved the shoot. I think that's a typical type of day for this actor / director. Bobby came into my world with humility and understanding. He so happens to be the owner of Burning Suns Entertainment, and the Filmmaker Liaison for Filmstock Film Festival, which gives him a unique perspective on this process. He loves the idea of helping out, and working with, local artist and creating awareness through his work and art. So yes, he saved me the day of the shoot. I call myself being prepared charging all of my camera batteries, getting ready for all the shoots of the day, and forget every single battery I own, for this particular camera, at home all near the charger. Bobby, being the type of guy he is, runs home and grabs a couple of batteries that fit my camera. Wow! The fact that he has the batteries, more than two, says he does do this professionally, and the fact that he went to go get them, says something else about him. Thank you Bobby, like I only said it five times that day. That was six. I'm aiming for seven.
Bobby is a young artist, and all the world is a stage for him. As an actor and director he has to be intimately involved in the processes on both sides of the camera. And Bobby uses he's perspective and knowledge to tell stories, communicate passion, and influence lives. He loves to make people laugh and see the brighter side of life, and with his really open personality he's got a winning combination. Bobby is open to big ideas and reaching large amounts of people, and I really like that about him. We usually call this type of person a dreamer, but the difference with Bobby is that he puts his dreams into motion and translates that in action. And that's the primary word. That's where we get the word action from, and that's what a director says on set, "Action!" Action is a verb. And for a guy like Bobby, when you're not afraid to move and take action, in the famous words of Shakespere, "All the World's a Stage" for you. Cheers mate! Oh, and thank you Bobby! That makes seven.
